We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior IT Engineer to manage and support Savills’ IT infrastructure, systems, and end-user services across Egypt and the wider Middle East region.
Based in West Cairo, this role involves occasional travel within Egypt and, at times, across the region. Flexibility and a positive, service-driven attitude are essential.
The ideal candidate will have a proven background in IT operations, project delivery, and end-user support, with strong expertise in Microsoft technologies, networking, and cloud solutions. The primary focus will be to ensure seamless IT operations, deliver innovative technology solutions, and support the firm’s growth through secure and efficient systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 2nd and 3rd line IT support for offices and remote users, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
- Manage IT infrastructure including servers, networking equipment, storage, cloud services, and enterprise applications.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Azure AD) and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Support new joiner/leaver processes, user account management, and device deployment.
- Manage IT assets, procurement, and inventory, keeping accurate and up-to-date records.
- Lead or support IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and technology rollouts.
- Ensure data security, backup, and disaster recovery measures are in place and tested.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and user guides as needed.
- Liaise with internal teams, external vendors, and service providers to ensure quality of IT services.
- Provide training and support for staff on new systems, tools, and processes.
- Assist with IT budget planning, cost optimization, and vendor negotiations.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Experience: Minimum of 4–5 years in IT support and infrastructure management, preferably within a multinational environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Windows, M365, Azure AD, Intune), networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPN), and hardware/software troubleshooting.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation abilities. Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
