Assistant Manager/Strategic Consultancy

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical real estate professional to join Savills’ Strategic Consultancy team and contribute to the continued growth of our advisory offering across the region. The successful candidate will support the delivery of a wide range of real estate consultancy assignments, including market studies, feasibility assessments, highest and best use studies, masterplan advisory, development strategies, and investment appraisal reports. The role will involve conducting detailed market research, analysing real estate trends, developing financial models, and preparing strategic recommendations to support clients in making informed investment and development decisions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in real estate advisory and the ability to combine market intelligence, financial analysis, and commercial understanding to deliver high-quality consultancy outputs. The role will also provide exposure to client engagements, business development activities, and regional projects, while offering the opportunity to further develop expertise within Savills’ Strategic Consultancy platform and contribute to the delivery of best-in-class advisory services across the market
Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation and delivery of real estate consultancy assignments, including market studies, feasibility studies, highest and best use assessments, masterplan advisory reports, development recommendations, financial planning, and investment appraisal studies.
Support business development activities by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and liaising with clients and stakeholders to generate new opportunities for the Strategic Consultancy team and wider Savills business.
Manage project studies by defining research requirements, coordinating tasks, conducting detailed primary and secondary research, and delivering high-quality reports and recommendations to clients.
Apply international best practices and industry standards to deliver high-quality consultancy services and strategic insights.
Develop a strong understanding of client requirements, real estate market trends, and regional dynamics to provide informed recommendations and identify relevant benchmarks for comparable projects.
Prepare, maintain, and review Excel-based financial models, including project programmes, development assumptions, project inputs, cash flow analysis, and financial assessments.
Conduct comprehensive real estate market analysis by evaluating supply, demand, performance, market trends, and future outlook across various asset classes.
Analyse real estate developments and performance metrics, including residential units, hotel rooms, Gross Leasable Area (GLA), rental rates, sales prices per sq. ft., land requirements, and applicable Floor Area Ratio (FAR).
Undertake demand analysis using demographic, economic, and market indicators, including population growth, household formation, employment trends, and sector-specific requirements.
Maintain and enhance supply and demand databases across multiple geographies, including historical development data, existing market supply, and future project pipelines.
Conduct market segmentation and benchmarking analysis across various asset classes, including residential, retail, hospitality, office, industrial, and entertainment.
Support the development and enhancement of Savills’ market intelligence and data analysis platforms, including databases, performance trackers, and reporting tools.
Analyse market findings and prepare comprehensive consultancy reports covering macroeconomic trends, real estate market conditions, project analysis, and strategic recommendations.
Develop and deliver presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and business leaders.
Stay updated on market developments, economic trends, and industry insights, sharing relevant updates with the team and wider business.
Contribute to wider team initiatives and regional/global projects as required.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Master’s degree preferred in Real Estate, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Business Management, Architecture, or a related field. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and relevant professional experience will also be considered.
Minimum 5–6 years of relevant experience within real estate development, real estate consultancy, investment advisory, financial advisory, or related sectors.
Experience with leading real estate consultancy firms, Big Four advisory firms, financial institutions, real estate developers, or Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) is preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with experience in data analysis, reporting, presentation development, and data management tools such as Power BI.
Proven ability to lead projects, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and deliver high-quality consultancy reports within agreed timelines.
Strong understanding of real estate financial concepts, including development costs, revenues, profitability, cash flow analysis, IRR, NPV, and investment appraisals.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market data and provide commercially driven recommendations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outputs.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to wider business objectives.
