Strategic Analyst

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and creative professional with a master's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate Economics, or a related field, and 1–2 years of relevant professional experience. They will be eager to develop their expertise while contributing to the continued growth of Savills' Strategic Consultancy offering.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted point of contact for ad hoc real estate consultancy requests, support the preparation of proposals, pitches, and tenders, and assist in delivering detailed market analysis and high-quality real estate study reports for Savills' mandates across the region.
As part of the Strategic Consultancy team, the candidate will contribute to a wide range of real estate advisory assignments across the GCC and wider Middle East. Working alongside experienced consultants, they will prepare business reports and strategic recommendations for clients, with opportunities to travel to project locations as required.
Responsibilities will include undertaking site visits, conducting market research and data analysis, assessing real estate supply and demand, benchmarking comparable developments, evaluating project feasibility, and supporting financial modelling, including discounted cash flow (DCF) and IRR analysis. The role offers excellent exposure to diverse projects and provides a strong platform for long-term professional growth within real estate consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct primary and secondary research to analyse real estate markets, including supply, demand, pricing, performance, pipeline, and market outlook.
Analyse real estate development models, including land lease, rental, and sales models.
Assess the performance of real estate projects using key metrics such as Gross Leasable Area (GLA), rental rates, sales values, land requirements, and applicable Floor Area Ratio (FAR).
Support the development and maintenance of market databases across multiple geographies, including historical market data, existing supply, demand trends, and future development pipelines.
Undertake market segmentation and benchmarking analysis across a range of asset classes, including residential, retail, hospitality, office, industrial, and entertainment.
Analyse demographic, economic, and market data to assess real estate demand drivers, including population growth, household formation, and employment trends.
Prepare market research reports and feasibility studies, including macroeconomic overviews, site and location analysis, market analysis, benchmarking, development strategies, and financial projections.
Collect and analyse market data to support project programming, development briefs, project phasing, and comparisons against competing developments.
Assist in preparing financial assumptions and developing project feasibility and financial models using Microsoft Excel.
Support the preparation, review, and refinement of development appraisals and financial models.
Prepare presentations and communicate key findings to internal stakeholders, clients, and senior business leaders using Microsoft PowerPoint.
Support business development activities by assisting with proposals, presentations, and client submissions.
Keep abreast of market trends and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.
Contribute to wider team initiatives and projects as required.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Real Estate, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, Business Management, or a related field.
1–3 years of relevant experience in real estate, market research, consulting, feasibility studies, or a related discipline is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with experience in data analysis, reporting, and presentation preparation.
Strong understanding of financial concepts, including costs, revenues, profitability, cash flows, IRR, and NPV.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, identify trends, and prepare high-quality reports.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and effectively communicate with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
